A Steller's Jay at Bryce Point
As my regular readers may remember from previous photos I've shared on this blog, our family visited Bryce Canyon National Park last month. Today, I'm sharing a few more photos from our visit.
After enjoying the magnificent views at Bryce Point, we passed by this beautiful Steller's Jay on our way back to our car. The Jay apparently was ready for its photo to be taken, as it stayed perched on this branch for a surprising amount of time while several people (myself included) gathered around to take its picture.
After a few moments of the attention however, the Jay hopped further into the branches of the tree.

Bright Pink Hydrangea
I love the delicate beauty of hydrangeas. Each large flower is in reality a cluster of lovely little flowers.

Red Canyon Tunnel
My regular readers my remember that our family recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Utah. I've been sharing some photos of our trip to Bryce Canyon here on this blog.
On our way to Bryce Canyon National Park, we traveled along a portion of scenic Highway 12. This stretch of Highway 12 was beautiful with striking red rock formations along the highway. It is situated in Red Canyon, which is part of Dixie National Forest. Driving through Red Canyon along Highway 12 gave us a delightful preview of the incredible natural beauty that awaited us in Bryce Canyon National Park.
Along scenic Highway 12, which by the way has been named a National Scenic Byway, we traveled through two Red Canyon Tunnels. Of course, we just had to stop and take a photo of one of these amazing tunnels. If you'd like to learn more about these tunnels, as well as view some interesting photos of the tunnels from the 1920's, click HERE.

Afternoon Skies Over Inspiration Point–Bryce Canyon
While our family was on vacation, we visited Bryce Canyon National Park. During the two days we were there, the skies clouded over and storms threatened in the afternoons. These cloudy conditions really provided me with some wonderful photography opportunities.
This photo was taken from Inspiration Point at Bryce Canyon.

A Pink Coneflower at Temple Square
While we were vacationing in Utah recently, we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place. And the gardens there are absolutely gorgeous.
As we were walking around Temple Square, I was taking photos (of course!), and took a picture of this lovely pink coneflower.
The gardens at Temple Square, which are redesigned every six months, include 250 flower beds. Did you know that free one-hour garden tours are given from May through September at Temple Square?
Here are a couple of photos of just a few of these beautiful flower beds.
My hubby was taking photos too. It's a lovely place and I hope that the next time you are in Salt Lake City, you will stop by and visit Temple Square.

Sunrise Point – Bryce Canyon National Park
On a recent family vacation to Utah, our family visited Bryce Canyon National Park. What a spectacularly beautiful place! The views were awe-inspiring. It really was a photographer's paradise.
On one of the days we were there, we decided to wake up before dawn so we could go to Sunrise Point and take photos as the sun rose and lit up the rock formations at that beautiful spot in Bryce Canyon.
The photo below was taken before sunrise.
It was so cool to see the rock formations change color as the sun came up.

Colorful Alliums at Central Utah Gardens
Our family recently returned from a vacation in Utah. While we were there, we kept driving past these colorful round flowers pictured in the photo below. I was intrigued and really wanted to stop and take some photos of these curious flowers.
Eventually, we had some time in our schedule to stop for photos. I thought these flowers were part of the landscaping in front of a business, but this place turned out to be the Central Utah Gardens. What a cool place! Needless to say, my hubby and I stayed there for quite a while taking pictures of the beautiful flowers in these gardens.
Here's a close-up view of these colorful flowers. The garden's caretaker told us these are actually spray-painted Alliums.
I'll be sharing more photos from these gardens in future posts.
