My regular readers my remember that our family recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Utah. I've been sharing some photos of our trip to Bryce Canyon here on this blog.
On our way to
Bryce Canyon National Park, we traveled along a portion of scenic Highway 12. This stretch of Highway 12 was beautiful with striking red rock formations along the highway. It is situated in
Red Canyon, which is part of
Dixie National Forest. Driving through Red Canyon along Highway 12 gave us a delightful preview of the incredible natural beauty that awaited us in Bryce Canyon National Park.
Along
scenic Highway 12, which by the way has been named a
National Scenic Byway, we traveled through two Red Canyon Tunnels. Of course, we just had to stop and take a photo of one of these amazing tunnels. If you'd like to learn more about these tunnels, as well as view some interesting photos of the tunnels from the 1920's, click
