I flew to Utah on Monday, July 27th, and flew home on Saturday, August 1st. The last time I had flown on an airplane before this trip was almost 35 years ago! So, this was an exciting adventure for me. All went well, although there was some turbulence as we approached Salt Lake City on Monday. The passenger next to me said she was too old for roller coasters. I feel the same way. The turbulence made me feel sick to my stomach for a while. Yuck! Other than that incident, the flights were uneventful, for which I am thankful.
While I was in Provo, I was able to visit with family members. Of course, we had to go to Rita's Italian Ice. I had a Gelati, which consists of layers of Frozen Custard and Italian Ice. I chose chocolate Custard and Smore's Italian Ice. Yummy!
Another delicious restaurant we went to is Kneaders Bakery & Cafe. We just went for dessert this time around.
This is the Chocolate Mousse Dome.
This decadent dessert has chocolate cake on the bottom and chocolate mousse on top of that. It's then covered with chocolate ganache and whipped cream.
Yes, it is as delicious as it looks. Mmmm!
After the BYU Conference on Family History & Genealogy ended, my family members and I visited some museums on the BYU (Brigham Young University) campus. I'll be sharing some photos from those visits in future posts.
Thanks for stopping by!
