As promised in a previous post, I am sharing photos of one of the waterfalls we saw during our visit to Yosemite National Park in August of 2011.
The waterfalls were still full of water, which according to the National Park Service website is not always the case in August. In fact, in August, the waterfalls can have only a trickle of water or they can be completely dry. So, we were in for a treat when we visited that day.
Today, I'm sharing photos of Yosemite Falls.
Yosemite Falls is made up of three waterfalls – Upper Yosemite Fall, the middle cascades, and Lower Yosemite Fall. We walked along the one-mile loop trail toward the base of the Lower Yosemite Fall.
Here are a few photos along our way to Yosemite Falls.
This first one is a stream we crossed along the trail.
This is a photo of my husband and one of our sons on the bridge that crossed the stream in the photo above.
Here's a view of Yosemite Falls from the trail.
Here we are at Lower Yosemite Fall.
See all of those people down at the base of Lower Yosemite Fall?
We visited other waterfalls during our visit. I'll share photos of those in future posts.
Thanks for stopping by!
