A Pretty White Poppy

A White Poppy

I took this photo many years ago with my Canon AE-1, which is a film camera.

The white poppy is set against a background of blue Salvia, purple Scabiosa, otherwise known as Pincushion Flowers, and Mexican Evening Primroses.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I remember the AE1 was around the same time as my ME Super 30+years ago. Could not afford a canon then now I use one.

    1. Hi Bill,

I think Canon cameras are awesome! We've switched from their film cameras to their digital cameras. But, our digital SLR is actually a Pentax K200D, which is a great camera as well.

  4. I've never seen a white poppy. It's lovely, and looks great with the blue background.

  6. Hi Jana, this is a gorgeous photo and I am very appreciative that you are sharing it with Today's Flowers. Thank you so much!

Would you be willing to share two or three of your favorite flower photos on our home page in our Guest Friend spot? If you are interested you can send them to me at luvinwildlife@hotmail.com, and if you could please put ‘TODAY’S FLOWERS’ in the subject line, this would prevent it from dropping into my spam folder. As friends send me their photos I add them to a list in the order received, and let them know when they will be shown. If you decide to do so could you also send me the link to your blog at the same time?

Thank you for considering this and absolutely no pressure, we are just very grateful that you share your flowers with us whenever you can.

    Wishing you a happy day,
    Denise
